2nd Semester: Tuesdays, Jan. 15 - Mar. 19, 2019 (Make-up Day: Mar. 26, 2019)

  • 10:00-10:50am – PreBallet (1st sem) & PreTap (2nd sem) (ages 4-6) (HK)
  • 10:00-10:55am – Beginning Ballet (1st sem) & Jazz (2nd sem) (ages 7-14) (BM)
  • 11:00-11:55am – Intermediate Ballet (1st sem) & Lyrical (2nd sem) (ages 9-16) (HK)
  • 11:00-11:55am – Physical Conditioning for Boys (ages 9-16) (AB)
  • 11:55-12:20pm – Lunch Break ~ pack a lunch and enjoy lunch time with friends
  • 12:20-1:15pm – Broadway Jazz (1st sem) & Tap (2nd sem) (ages 9-16) (AB)
  • 12:20-1:15pm – Art in Motion-Art Appreciation/Projects/Movement (ages 7-12) (HK/BM)

    A showcase will be held on the final day of each session for parents to attend.


Cost by semester (10 weeks each):

First child: $110 for one class/semester or $200 for two classes/semester
Additional sibling(s): $100 for one class/semester or $180 for two classes/semester

  • Additional $10 supply fee per semester for Art class.
  • Pay for both semesters by Sept. 11 and receive 10% off

Class Descriptions

PreBallet/PreTap (ages 4-6) - The basic technique of ballet (1st semester) and tap(2nd semester) will be introduced. Young dancers will learn proper placement, positions, and rhythm. An age appropriate balance of structured exercises and creative movement will be included.

Beginning Ballet/Jazz (ages 7-14) - Students will learn the proper technique of classical ballet (1st semester) and jazz (2nd semester). Dancers will gain strength, flexibility, skill and knowledge as they engage in fun and challenging exercises.

Intermediate Ballet/Lyrical (ages 9-16) - Students will be challenged to increase their skill, strength, and flexibility through exercises in ballet (1st semester) and lyrical (2nd semester). Technique and performance will be emphasized through fun and engaging choreography. Learn how to share a story or a message effectively through dance!

Physical Conditioning for Boys (ages 9-16) - Students will gain agility, strength, muscular endurance, core stability, jumping ability, and flexibility using circuit and interval modalities. Proper form and alignment will be emphasized. Use of stability balls, resistance tubes, kettle bells, jump rope, gliding discs, and Pilates exercises will be included. The instructor, with a Masters of Science in Kinesiology, teaches the fundamentals of kinetic anatomy and exercise science principles. Boys will enjoy a variety of challenges; this course will be beneficial to all types of athletes. Although the class is geared towards boys, girls are welcome as well.

Broadway Jazz/Tap (ages 9-16) - Experience the razzle dazzle of Broadway! Learn the fundamentals of jazz (1st semester) and tap (2nd semester) with music from Broadway hits such as A Chorus Line, Shrek, Newsies, The Wiz, All That Jazz, Sweet Charity, Lion King, Movin’ Out, and Cats. All experience levels welcome. The instructor will vary choreography for students based on their abilities.

Art in Motion (ages 7-12) - Learn about famous artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, and more! Try your hand at creating your own masterpieces based on famous artwork as the instructors guide you. Improvise and experiment with movement inspired by the artwork you are studying. This class is a fun, multisensory approach to the world of art!
